Then
A'mha was born to the hot sands of Gyr Abania. Born to her father, a Seeker and her mother, a Keeper, A'mha spent the first five summers of her life with her mother, learning what little she could in her young age there. When her mother realized just how much she looked like her father, she sent her daughter to his tribe, where he had become Nuhn, and she quickly forgot most of her mothers way of life. A'mha was her mothers fifth child, but her fathers first, and he took great pride in her. Teaching her how to hunt, how to gather and track, how to read the land and find your own path across it. He loved how she took on his hair and his eyes, but did not enjoy how much like him she really was.
When A'mha came of age, a healer came to visit their remote village. Already, A'mha was at odds with her father about her future, but the news the healer brother, set her mind in stone. A'mha left home, setting out from Gyr Abania for Eorzea, searching for a land with more grass and trees than sand..
Her travels eventually brought her to Gridania. There, she lived on the outskirts of the city, sleeping in trees and making small camps, offering her skills to travelers and people in the encampments. Eventually, she earned enough of a name for herself to be hired as a body guard to convoys. On one such convoy, she met a young Conjurer named Annette.
Annette became a great friend to A'mha, helping her to form relations inside the city, eventually getting A'mha clearance to enter despite the cities dislike for strangers. She helped A'mha make her name known to the Twin Adder, introduced her to the Adventurers Guild, and helped her get her footing in her new business.
A'mha became a regular guard on convoys with Annette, the two becoming companions and having small adventures when the time allowed. All good things end, and one day, A'mha was given a taste of the darkest parts of Adventuring.
Annettes convoy was attacked, a surprise attack from a small group of rouges looking for easy money, by any means they could. A'mha was distracted, having been laughing with Annette, and didn't hear them coming until it was to late. She fell, and was knocked out cold in time to see Annette step forward to fight for her.
When A'mha awoke, most of the convoy was dead, including Annette, who laid closest to her. Blood soaked the earth, those who survived hobbled and limped around her, bleeding, quiet. All A'mha could see was Annettes body laying there next to her staff.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~**For two years, A'mha had not been seen. Two years since Annette had fallen and been laid to rest. Two years to the day, until a familiar red head landed in Gridania once more. She made her way to the Conjuring Guild, a staff in her hand. They asked her her name, expecting the miqo'te to respond with A'mha.
Instead, with her head held high and a smile on her face, she said.
"Anne. At yer' service." **
Now
Anne works as an Adventurer, she specializes in a few different fields, having been in the business at a young age she managed to pick up on a lot. Most often she is hunting and tracking either people or animals, or working as a healer for travelers and other adventurers. She rarely talks about her more serious jobs, tending to keep the more harrowing stories to herself unless she knows someone well.
Annes goal was to replace the loss of her friend from that day, thinking herself the one who should have died, and since they she has worked to replace what was lost to the world when Annette died. She works with the Scions when she can, offering any help she can at any time, always 'on call' as she says. She is not blessed with the Echo, however.
